Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in janitorial or food service operations; remote or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Food Safety/HACCP certification, such as Safe Check or Smart Serve, or equivalent.
  • WHMIS certification, or willingness to obtain it before deployment.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel between sites as required, and a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Flexibility to work rotational schedules in Arctic environments.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to drive in remote Arctic locations in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and work in varied site conditions.
  • Ability to adapt to physically demanding work in remote environments.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in janitorial or facilities services.
  • Strong understanding of sanitation practices, HACCP, and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work respectfully with diverse teams, including Indigenous and Inuit staff.
  • Ability to work in Arctic weather conditions and use appropriate personal protective equipment and winter gear.
  • Ability to comply with client and company safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to meet safety-sensitive position drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff assigned to off-site or satellite project areas, such as exploration camps and field units.
  • Ensure facilities and accommodations are clean, sanitized, and consistent with company and client expectations.
  • Conduct scheduled inspections of off-site locations, document results, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage janitorial supplies, personal protective equipment, and consumables, ensuring their safe use, storage, and transport.
  • Develop and communicate cleaning schedules and assign staff responsibilities.
  • Train staff on safe chemical handling, equipment operation, and occupational health and safety compliance.
  • Ensure off-site food handling, packaging, and transportation meet HACCP protocols.
  • Monitor cold-chain requirements for prepared meals and transported goods.
  • Audit off-site food service operations, including temperature logs, storage conditions, and labelling.
  • Train staff on HACCP principles and corrective actions for deviations.
  • Liaise with culinary and logistics teams to maintain food safety standards from kitchen to delivery point.
  • Manage inventory and related processes for off-site food service locations.
  • Lead and support a team in remote environments while promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Prepare reports on janitorial performance, HACCP audits, and compliance findings.
  • Serve as the client point of contact for off-site janitorial and food safety matters.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Support vehicle inspections and report the results.

Dexterra Group revenue climbs 8% to $269M as EBITDA margin hits 12%

Dexterra Group reported strong Q2 2026 results, with revenue rising 8% year-over-year to $269 million and adjusted EBITDA increasing 9% to $33 million. The company achieved a 12% adjusted EBITDA margin and generated $22 million in free cash flow during the quarter. Support services revenue grew 10% to $226 million, whilst asset-based services revenue reached $43 million. The asset-based services segment saw its adjusted EBITDA margin improve to 40% from 38% in the prior year period, driven by higher-margin workforce accommodation rental revenue. Net debt decreased to $206 million from $225 million at the end of March 2026, representing 1.5 times adjusted EBITDA. The company's trailing 12-month return on equity reached 15.4%, meeting its 15% target. Dexterra declared a dividend of $0.10 per share, payable in October 2026.
