Requirements
  • Be a member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • For the emergency assignment, hold ETG (triage and acuity scale) training and confirmed rhythmology training.
  • For the intensive care assignment, have recent, highly relevant experience in an intensive care unit.
  • For the mother-child center assignment, have confirmed practical experience in a mother-child sector (maternity/pediatrics).
  • Demonstrate strong stress management in critical-care settings, sound clinical judgment, and professional rigor.
  • Be available to start immediately and work rotating day, evening, and night shifts; weekend work may be required as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services in one of three assignments: emergency at Baie-Comeau Hospital, intensive care at Baie-Comeau Hospital, or the mother-child center at Sept-Îles Hospital.
  • Care for patients with compromised vital functions requiring complex monitoring in the intensive care assignment.
  • Work in the specialized mother-child center covering perinatal care, maternity, and pediatrics.
  • Work a full-time assignment from October 19, 2026, through March 31, 2027, without extension.
