The Role: VP of Talent Acquisition

About This Role:
We are looking for a hands-on leader with experience designing and implementing recruiting systems and processes that scale. This position will report to our Chief People Officer.
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Talent to spearhead the growth of our workforce at a pivotal stage in our expansion. In this strategic role, you will design and lead an innovative recruiting function that fuels our growth. You are passionate about building equitable, inclusive hiring processes and creating diverse teams that reflect the districts we serve. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you’re excited to create transformative approaches and are not afraid to introduce innovative hiring strategies that no one else is trying. You have experience building National level teams within Clinical, Corporate, and Technical areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to attract and retain top-tier talent, aligned with Hazel’s growth objectives, while establishing innovative standards for recruitment excellence.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate workforce needs, create proactive hiring strategies that adapt to evolving demands, and ensure sustainable organizational growth. Identify critical talent needs across different departments and prioritize hiring initiatives.
- Define, communicate, and uphold a clear, inclusive, and exceptional candidate experience at every stage of the hiring process, leveraging feedback to drive ongoing improvements.
- Build and nurture a dynamic talent pipeline through strategic partnerships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and cutting-edge sourcing methods.
- Develop a roadmap to update and implement the latest recruiting platforms, workflows, and processes that increase recruiting efficiency and nimbleness in response to the high volume requirements of a high growth environment.
- Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape, and identify and link to top talent pools.
- Elevate Hazel’s reputation as a leading employer, particularly among therapists and physical health providers.
- Work closely with leaders to identify changing needs, design customized hiring approaches, and ensure alignment with clinical excellence and the highest standards of patient care.
- Leverage data-driven insights to continuously refine recruitment strategies, optimize processes, and drive measurable improvements in talent acquisition outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of recruiters, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a results-oriented culture while achieving ambitious hiring targets.
Your Background:
Required
- 10+ years minimum of experience in talent acquisition, including a focus on clinical recruitment, and a successful track record of building, leading, and scaling recruitment teams.
- Must include 5+ years in a senior leadership role with proven experience scaling the recruitment of mental and physical health providers.
- Experience in executive-level recruitment (C-level, VP)
- Demonstrated ability to lead recruiting teams in a virtual environment, with experience in developing and implementing effective hiring strategies to meet high-volume and specialized recruitment goals.
- Successfully led high-volume recruitment efforts, achieving consistent hiring targets of 150+ roles annually within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies that effectively engage passive candidates in competitive markets.
- Proven capability to introduce and execute unconventional hiring strategies and think creatively to attract top clinical talent in a competitive market.
- Advanced interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability to changing business needs and priorities, with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Strong commitment and history of creating equitable hiring practices and building diverse teams.
Preferred
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience and confidence in presenting and engaging in public speaking.
- Clear track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clinical and education associations and organizations.
- Ability to travel one to three times a quarter to in-person events as needed.
- Ability to show a high level of judgment in a variety of complex situations

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, with a base salary range of $200,00-- $235,000 plus performance incentive, a 401k match, healthcare coverage, paid time off, and a broad range of other benefits and perks. Review our benefits at Hazel Health Benefits.
