Requirements
  • The candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • The candidate must be eligible for a state medical license.
  • The candidate must have completed an Internal Medicine residency program.
  • The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
  • Practice in Internal Medicine and Hospitalist Medicine.
  • Provide excellent patient care on the inpatient hospitalist service.
  • Teach medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers.
  • Provide primarily admissions and cross-coverage responsibilities during night coverage.
  • Participate in one-on-one teaching and rounding teams covering inpatient consults for the Department of Medicine.
  • Manage patients across specialty service lines, including cardiovascular, oncology, end-stage renal disease, long-term antibiotic infusion, geriatric fracture service, complicated infectious disease, and post-acute care.
