What believers are saying

  • June 15, 2026 launched Canada’s first Canadian Medical Second Opinion program.
  • August 18, 2026 updates reduce signup friction and let nurses book directly.
  • May 5, 2026 AppEco modeled $22.2 billion annual Canadian savings from employer-funded virtual mental health care.

What critics are saying

  • TELUS Health and other Canadian rivals compress pricing and steal employer deals quickly.
  • Dialogue depends on Sun Life’s strategic priorities; a product cut would instantly shrink distribution.
  • If employer virtual-care ROI fades, Dialogue’s subscription model becomes a commoditized benefits line.

What makes Dialogue Health Technologies unique

  • Sun Life owns Dialogue since October 3, 2023, giving embedded insurer distribution.
  • Dialogue’s integrated platform bundles Primary Care, EAP, Mental Health+, Women’s, and Wellness.
  • Accreditation Canada awarded Dialogue Exemplary Standing, a rare quality signal in virtual care.

August update: The moments that make great care happen.

August update: The moments that make great care happen. Great healthcare is about more than what happens in a consultation. It's about the entire experience surrounding it - signing up, getting the right person, and building the habits that keep you well between visits. This month's updates make each moment smoother and help members take charge of their own health. Check out what's new and what's coming soon. Want to see the latest updates in action? Connect with its team to explore how these improvements can support your employees and drive even more value for your organization. The first step to care just got easier The path to care is only as strong as its first step, and even a small friction at sign-up can stop members before they've started. Email verification can be one of those moments, so Dialogue has made it simpler. Members can now confirm their email with a one-time password, making the process faster and easier to complete. The result: more members complete registration successfully and more employees reach the care available through their benefits. Your next appointment with a nurse booked on your terms *Available only in its Primary Care program. Registered nurses are highly skilled, full-scope care providers, and for a wide range of everyday health concerns, they're exactly the right person to help. Now, when a nurse is the right next step, members can book directly at a time that works for them. It's a meaningful shift in how care feels from the member's side. Rather than waiting for the next available nurse, members get the certainty of a confirmed appointment and the flexibility to fit around their day. Discover the difference a good night's sleep makes with new wellness content *Available only in its Wellness program. Sleep is one of the most powerful levers in employee health, and one of the most overlooked. Poor sleep is linked to reduced concentration, lower productivity, and a higher likelihood of physical and mental health concerns. Dialogue's new Rest and Restore content package gives members a structured, science-informed path to better sleep. The package is organized into three categories: The Essentials - foundational articles that help members understand their sleep patterns, identify common barriers, and build healthier habits. Topics include understanding sleep basics, techniques for falling and staying asleep, and the connection between rest and daily productivity. Gentle Movement - a library of video-guided yoga flows, breath work sessions, and stretching routines designed to help members wind down physically before bed. Sessions range from beginner floor Pilates to targeted hip and hamstring releases. Mindful Wind-Downs - guided audio meditations and breathing techniques to quiet the mind at the end of the day, including sleep-specific meditations and music for deep rest. Sleep support is a growing priority for HR leaders - and with good reason. Read more about how sleep affects employee health. Coming soon Longer follow-up sessions for mental health, career counselling, and nutrition *Available only in its Employee Assistance Program and Mental Health+ program. Follow-up sessions for mental health, career counselling, and nutrition support will be extended to 1 hour. This gives members and their practitioners more time to go deeper, whether that means working through a complex situation, setting goals with more care, or simply ending a session on the right note.
