Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
  • Must drive safely and without incident.
  • Must follow relevant safety regulations and state laws governing vehicle operation and ensure that passengers follow safety regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Comply with all federal, state, and accreditation regulatory requirements.
  • Take direction from designated managers and communicate with them effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Address clients' day-to-day non-therapeutic needs while maintaining a calm, welcoming, and professional demeanor and adhering to established service standards.
  • Prepare to welcome new admissions by ensuring welcome materials are in place and the blocked room and bed are clean and orderly.
  • Complete the admissions process, including greeting new clients and their families and completing all necessary forms.
  • Orient new clients to the facility, programs, and services.
  • Coordinate transportation for outside appointments, pickups, and drop-offs for new admissions, current clients, and discharging clients as assigned, and provide transportation as needed.
  • Assist with the administration and processing of urine toxicology testing samples.
  • Assist with morning wake-up and evening bed checks of clients as necessary.
  • Perform routine inspections of client rooms and report infractions of resident guidelines.
  • Assist with store-run purchases on behalf of clients and provide transportation to stores on designated nights.
  • Facilitate the inspection, ordering, and pickup of prescriptions for clients.
  • Assist other team members as necessary to support the client recovery process.
  • Test vehicle equipment, including lights, brakes, horns, and windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform errands such as delivering or picking up mail, packages, food, and cleaning supplies.
  • Assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles and help them with luggage.
  • Perform safety checks of the house and perimeter throughout the night.
  • Perform quality assurance checks of the extended-care residence.
  • Ensure the house is properly stocked with supplies, linens, and comforters.
  • Report defects in the physical property and submit requests for maintenance and repairs.
Desired Qualifications
  • The employer strongly prefers employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including regularly scheduled boosters, and for influenza as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
