Requirements
  • Extensive experience in building scalable platforms
  • Strong understanding of development best practices, modern technologies, and design patterns
  • Proficiency in modern frontend technologies: React, Typescript, bundling tools (Webpack, ESBuild…)
  • 5-8 years of experience shipping high quality products (at least 4+ years of FE experience)
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels
  • Experience mentoring and growing senior engineers as their technical leader
  • Experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets (nice to have)
Responsibilities
  • Own and contribute to the technical direction that will shape the trajectory of the Payroll & Compensation Team
  • Coach and mentor others on the team
  • Collaborate with engineers, technical leaders and cross-functional groups to ship impactful features that directly impacts our customers and company metrics
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling and processes
  • Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage product to iteratively evolve and scale, and taming complexity and shoring up reliability of existing systems
  • Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
  • Contribute to the codebase as a hands-on engineer
