- High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree preferred
- Previous experience in a customer support role
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Strong/active listening, verbal and written communication skills, professional phone voice
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
- Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
- Strong computer skills
- Answer incoming customer phone calls and take appropriate action for each call
- Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics
- Identify customers' needs, clarify information, understand every issue, and provide solutions
- Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile
- Keep records of all conversations in our database in a comprehensible way
- Use company policies to determine if there can be an immediate resolution to a customer issue or if that issue requires managerial input
- Willingness to expand knowledge and take on other duties as assigned
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
