Gallagher appoints Steve Munday as Managing Partner of Natural Resources. Global insurance broker Gallagher has announced the appointment of Steve Munday as Managing Partner of Natural Resources. In his new role, Munday will be responsible for further developing Gallagher's client portfolio, services and capabilities in its renewables practice area. He will report to Julian Raven, CEO of Natural Resources, and work alongside Duncan Gordon, Head of Renewable Energy at Gallagher. Munday brings nearly 40 years of insurance industry experience, having specialised in the developing renewable, clean and low-carbon energy transition sectors for the past two decades. He joins Gallagher from WTW, having led its global renewable practice and London renewables team for the last ten years. Prior to that, he was Renewable Energy & Power - International Leader at Marsh, responsible for delivering London Specialty capability directly to global clients and Marsh Global Network offices in the Renewable Energy & Power space. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Aon Risk Solutions, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, General Accident Insurance, Legal & General and RSA. Aegon's Robinson joins Gallagher as head of DC investment. Gallagher has appointed Michael Robinson to be head of DC investment in its UK benefit & consulting division. Robinson joins from Aegon UK where he was head of investment development and led the design and delivery of investment, which included the integrations of private markets into DC default strategies. ADVERTISING Prior to this he worked for Willis Towers Watson and The Asset Management Exchange, where he advised UK and European pension schemes and insurers on investment strategy, portfolio construction and manager selection. In his new role, Robinson will lead Gallagher's DC investment proposition. Gallagher says this appointment comes at a an important time for DC market, with schemes are responding to a number of regulatory and market developments - including the drive towards 2030 scale requirement, the new Value for Money assessments, contractual override considerations and a growing focus on private market opportunities. Robinson will also oversee the continued expansion of Gallagher's DC investment capability, guided by a remit to support the firm's growing client base with specialist expertise and tailored solutions. He will report to Nick Lewis, co-head of investment, UK. Lewis says: "[Robinson] joins at an important time for both its business and the wider DC market. As schemes increasingly focus on member outcomes, retirement adequacy and accessing a broader range of investment opportunities, the need for specialist expertise has never been greater. Aon CFO Reese Steps Down After 2 Years, Succeeded by Virana in Interim Role Insurance broker Aon plc announced that Edmund Reese is stepping down from his role as executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, to pursue opportunities outside the firm. He first joined Aon in Aon appointed Nadin Virani as interim CFO, effective immediately, and Reese will serve as senior adviser to Aon President and CEO Greg Case, through August 16, 2027, to support the transition. Reese joined Aon in June 2024, while Virani joined the company in January 2025. Aon said Virani brings deep financial leadership expertise and a wealth of experience in the financial services industry to his new role, having previously served as the firm's global head of Corporate Planning and Analytics with oversight of financial planning and analysis, forecasting processes, cash management and budgeting. Vickers joins from Gallagher and brings a wealth of experience across complex property risks, as well as a deep understanding of the direct and facultative market in Bermuda, Miller said. In his new role, Vickers will lead Miller's Bermuda direct and fac offering, working closely with teams in London to broaden the solutions available to property clients internationally. Miller said his appointment marks a significant step in the company's ongoing expansion of its insurance capabilities in Bermuda, with further insurance lines expected to be developed in the region through 2026 and beyond.
