Responsibilities
  • Collect used dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment from dining and kitchen areas.
  • Load and unload commercial dishwashing machines.
  • Hand-wash specialty items such as wooden cutting boards and large pots.
  • Keep dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment clean, sanitized, and properly stored.
  • Ensure the kitchen team has the clean supplies needed during busy service.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain clean kitchen floors and work areas.
  • Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, baseboards, and other kitchen surfaces.
  • Monitor dishwashing equipment and promptly report issues or maintenance needs.
  • Keep cleaning supplies stocked and communicate supply needs to the culinary leadership team.
  • Remove garbage and regularly clean and sanitize waste bins.
  • Complete thorough nightly kitchen cleaning and sanitation.
  • Support the culinary team wherever needed.
  • Perform other duties that help keep the kitchen safe, clean, and running smoothly.
