Rockwell Automation patches 12+ flaws including RSLinx DoS. Rockwell Automation released patches and workarounds for more than a dozen vulnerabilities, including four critical or high-severity denial-of-service flaws in RSLinx Classic. Rockwell Automation on Tuesday released patches and workarounds for more than a dozen security vulnerabilities across its industrial automation product line. One advisory addresses four critical or high-severity denial-of-service flaws in RSLinx Classic that can crash the RSLinx service and require a restart to recover. The company identified CVE-2026-9637 as a high-severity DoS issue affecting ControlLogix and CompactLogix controllers. The advisory's header notes exploitation, while the body lists the issue as not exploited; the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) also reported it is not aware of any exploitation. Rockwell applied additional DoS fixes to the 1756-ENBT communications module, Logix controllers through a third-party component, and FactoryTalk Historian Machine Edition. The vendor also patched a high-severity remote code execution vulnerability in FactoryTalk Historian that could allow an attacker to run arbitrary code on affected systems. In FactoryTalk Activation Manager, Rockwell resolved a high-severity flaw that permitted an authenticated user to access files, processes and system resources with elevated privileges. The ControlFLASH firmware management utility contains a vulnerability that could allow arbitrary code execution at the logged-in user's permission level. The Redundancy Module Configuration Tool received a fix for a high-severity privilege escalation issue. Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities were fixed in ArmorStart Distributed Motor Controllers that could enable execution of malicious scripts, and a denial-of-service issue affecting the controller's web server was addressed. Several advisories include guidance on applying patches or implementing workarounds to reduce exposure while updates are deployed. Rockwell issued the notices to customers on Tuesday and provided links to product-specific updates and mitigation steps. CISA posted related advisories the same day to provide additional technical context for operators and security teams. Rockwell's advisories recommend prioritizing installation of patches for higher-severity issues and outline mitigations where immediate patching is not possible. The affected products span communications software, programmable logic controllers and management utilities commonly used in manufacturing and critical infrastructure environments.

"Momenta's continued investment reflects the same conviction that led us to back DataHow at Series A," ZURICH, Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - DataHow, a leader in AI-powered solutions for biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing, has closed a bridge financing round extending its Series A, led by existing investor Momenta, a leading industrial impact venture capital firm, with continued participation from Rockwell Automation, HINA Bioventures, and Zürcher Kantonalbank. The new capital will fast-track three priorities for DataHow, and their product DataHowLab, the company's digital bioprocess development and manufacturing platform: real-time connectivity, model-driven process control, and expansion into downstream processing. Since its Series A, DataHow has continued to deploy its hybrid modelling technology across many of the biopharmaceutical industry's largest manufacturers, combining guidance from a priori process knowledge with flexibility from data-driven AI to give process engineers richer insight and decision support while reducing experimental effort, time, and cost. This continuation of investment reflects the confidence of DataHow's existing partners in the pace of that progress, and in the opportunity now in front of the company: * Real-time connectivity: connecting DataHowLab directly to lab and production systems, building on DataHow's ongoing collaborations with customers and OEM partners, including investment partner Rockwell Automation. * Process control: leveraging real-time capabilities to enable human-in-the-loop process guidance, towards fully model-driven disturbance rejection, process optimization and control. * Downstream expansion: extending DataHowLab's established upstream processing (USP) capabilities towards downstream processing (DSP), enabling a holistic, consistent digital bioprocessing offering within a single intelligence platform. "We are grateful to our investor group, who continue to believe in the direction we are taking," said Dr. Alessandro Butté, CEO and co-founder of DataHow. "Our customers keep asking us to bring our technologies and methods further, earlier - into real-time environments and downstream processing. This new funding lets us respond directly to that demand and expand the platform to meet our customers where they need us next." "Momenta's continued investment reflects the same conviction that led us to back DataHow at Series A," said Ken Forster, Executive Director of Momenta. "The company's progress toward real-time, model-driven process control is exactly the kind of shift from automation to autonomy that we believe will define the next era of industrial manufacturing." "Connected, real-time data is the cornerstone of intelligent and autonomous biomanufacturing. DataHow is enabling customers to shift from retrospective analysis to predictive, model-driven process control, unlocking greater agility, consistency, and operational performance," said Matt Weaver, Vice President, Global Industry Sales- Life Sciences, at Rockwell Automation. "As AI-powered operations become a foundational element of modern manufacturing, DataHow is uniquely positioned to accelerate the industry's transition toward autonomous production environments. Ultimately, an intelligence-driven product lifecycle is becoming essential to keeping pace with the accelerating speed of drug discovery and development." Rockwell Automation announces collaboration with Mimosa Mine and Mine Elect on cybersecurity and modernization initiative in Zimbabwe. Project supports mine's digital migration journey to strengthen operational resilience HARARE, Zimbabwe, September 1, 2026/APO Group/ - Rockwell Automation (www.RockwellAutomation.com), the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, today announced a new collaboration with Mimosa Mine and Mine Elect to support the mine's ongoing modernization program in Zimbabwe. Mimosa Mine, a platinum-group metals (PGM) and base metals operation located in the Midlands Province of Zimbabwe, is undertaking a multi-year digital migration initiative aimed at modernizing its operations and improving the resilience of its industrial infrastructure. As part of this journey, the mine recently upgraded its operational technology (OT) network and sought support for secure connectivity, cybersecurity (https://apo-opa.co/3UxzrqS) risk management and long-term digital sustainability. Through the project, Mimosa Mine is expected to benefit from improved visibility across its operational networks, stronger safeguards for critical systems and a more resilient digital foundation to support reliable and efficient mining operations over time. The scope of work focused on strengthening network architecture, improving security segmentation and establishing more secure mechanisms for system access, data transfer, monitoring and recovery. This collaboration brought together global industrial expertise and local knowledge to support a mining operation that is actively investing in its digital future "This project reflects a growing focus across the mining sector on operational resilience and cyber risk management as digital technologies become more deeply embedded in day-to-day operations," said Rodrick Naidoo, country director for English-speaking Africa at Rockwell Automation. "By working closely with Mimosa Mine and our local partner, we were able to align technology, governance and skills to support the mine's broader modernization objectives while addressing the realities of an operational mining environment." A key element of the collaboration is Rockwell Automation's long-standing partnership with Mine Elect, a Zimbabwe-based Rockwell Automation specialty distributor with deep experience supporting the mining and industrial sectors locally. Mine Elect provided local engineering, implementation and onsite support, helping to connect global capabilities with in-country execution. "We embarked on this digital transformation journey more than three years ago with the upgrade of key OT infrastructure, which included the migration of Mimosa's legacy OT networks to Ethernet/IP," said Dr. Blessing Mahomva, managing director of Mine Elect (https://apo-opa.co/4xstXfB). "Our role during this critical phase was to ensure the project was delivered in a way that was practical, sustainable and aligned with Mimosa's operational priorities. This collaboration brought together global industrial expertise and local knowledge to support a mining operation that is actively investing in its digital future." Delivering industrial digital and cybersecurity initiatives in mining environments (https://apo-opa.co/4yj6KwF) presents unique challenges. Mining operations combine legacy systems, harsh physical conditions, safety critical processes and limited downtime windows, all which place constraints on how modern technologies can be deployed. In addition, the growing convergence of operational technology and information systems increases exposure to cyber risk, requiring careful design, sequencing and validation to avoid operational disruption. "This project supports our broader digital migration journey by strengthening the resilience and security of our operational systems," said Lloyd Shamu, head of technical services at Mimosa Mining Company (https://apo-opa.co/4zQv3n5). "Having partners who understand mining operations, the local context and the importance of secure, reliable infrastructure has been critical as we continue to modernize the way we operate."
