Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current registration to practice as a Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State.
  • One year of post-licensure nursing experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of clinical team members engaged in clinical care for patients under the supervision of a physician or provider for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Monitor the daily performance of clinical team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.
  • Organize and assign duties and tasks to clinical team members.
  • Assist medical assistants, nurses, and providers with maintaining patient flow so patients are seen timely and efficiently.
  • Establish monthly clinical team member work schedules and request floaters from Clinical Service leaders as needed.
  • Evaluate clinical team member performance in conjunction with the office manager and conduct verbal and written performance evaluations after 90 days and annually as needed.
  • Implement or recommend disciplinary action in conjunction with the Practice Manager and Human Resources department, and document all disciplinary action.
  • Triage patient phone calls and troubleshoot medication management issues.
  • Provide in-service education to members of the interdisciplinary team within the department.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities within the department.
  • Maintain communication and working relationships with patients, providers, and clinical and clerical team members.
  • Serve as a backup for clinical team members by working as a provider’s primary nurse or assistant when staffing needs arise, including vacations, illnesses, and lunches.
  • Attend periodic training sessions and meetings pertinent to the position.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Two years of nursing experience.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
