- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, or six years of experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Five years of experience in a related field is required.
- Candidates must have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
- Candidates must be able to use a computer to communicate via email.
- Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and related tools and technology required for the position.
- Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Candidates must be skilled in problem identification and resolution.
- Candidates must comply with site-specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
- Candidates must identify any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site Technical Editors.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Candidates must be eligible for Facility Access Authorization by the USG's designated Security Office.
- Candidates must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigation, up to Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.
- Candidates may be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement.
Responsibilities
- Support senior management and staff at the Office of River Protection and on the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project by providing recommendations and solutions to project issues, technical document preparation, editing, analysis, and digital technology implementation.
- Coordinate the development and production of project documents, procedures, plans, and other communications deliverables needed to support senior management and AMWTP and WTP Project management policy and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain multiple WTP Project management planning documents, processes, procedures, presentations, and communication products using specialized knowledge.
- Assist federal staff in creating and maintaining documentation, and provide technical document editing, writing, and production.
- Assist federal staff in creating and maintaining WTP Project and DFLAW Program graphics, and provide technical editing, production, and upkeep.
- Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and compliant with established criteria.
- Submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished and deliverable progress.
- Travel occasionally to meetings, events, site visits, or training when required, with travel coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Hanford Site is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio; and ability to learn other tools quickly.
