About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Shipping and Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Familiarity with freight management software such as CargoWise One or other freight forwarding operating systems, including functionality and basic configuration, is required.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
- Three to five years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or project management is required.
- A strong understanding of freight forwarding operations, including shipment handling and client requirements, is required.
- The ability to translate business requirements into operational solutions is required.
- Experience documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures is required.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities are required.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Analyze end-to-end freight forwarding operations, from quotation and booking through shipment handling—including air, ocean, trucking, export/import, and consolidation—to invoice posting and cost accrual; identify gaps and propose solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with key account management, operations, sales, information technology, and other departments to translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Lead improvement projects by defining scope, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across departments and stations.
- Facilitate solution implementation through training, documentation, and issue resolution to ensure successful adoption.
