Wellington, Vanguard and Blackstone launch funds blending public and private assets

Wellington Management has launched two closed-end funds in partnership with Vanguard and Blackstone, initially available through Bank of America's wealth platforms. The WVB All Markets Fund combines public equities, fixed income, index strategies and Blackstone's private-market assets. The WVB Blackstone All Privates Fund allocates across private equity, infrastructure, real estate and credit. Both funds will be offered to eligible clients of Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank, with plans to expand through registered investment advisers and other wealth channels. Wellington serves as investment manager, whilst Vanguard provides fixed-income and index exposure and Blackstone contributes its perpetual private-market platform. The launch reflects broader efforts to bring private-market investments, traditionally limited to institutions, to high-net-worth and mass-affluent investors.
