Requirements

A B.S. degree in Engineering, specifically Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of industry experience, such as sales and/or industry experience.

Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret customer inquiries and specifications to design and specify appropriate equipment for each application.
Travel to customer facilities for site support and gather details needed for technical review and proposal generation.
Assist with technical development and risk assessment of customer inquiries.
Develop cost estimates according to established guidelines.
Set product pricing using mark-up and commission schedules established by management.
Determine the drawings needed for quotations and coordinate their completion.
Write, edit, and issue formal quotations to customers.
Follow up on written or verbal customer correspondence during the quotation phase.
Visit customers after proposal issuance to discuss and negotiate proposals.
Provide management with status reports on overall proposal status and activities.
Assist with creating and modifying sales presentations and documents using Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe, and web-based systems.
Work with management to determine updated skills and tools needed to improve performance and knowledge.
Perform other appropriate duties based on skills and experience.

Job Description

The Applications Engineer position will be based out of Zeeco’s office. The position will require knowledge of all Zeeco products, with a focus on Vapor Control products and technical requirements. The position will be responsible for individual customer engagement, proposal management, budgeting, and all Zeeco disciplines required, ensuring the most complete offering with the greatest potential for award and contract.

Job Duties:

Writes, edits, and issues formal quotations to customer.
Follow-up on any written or verbal correspondence with customer during quotation phase.
Visits with customer’s post-proposal issuance to discuss and negotiate proposal.

Tavel expectations

75% Domestic / 25% International
1-2 weeks per month

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or related field)
2+ years of industry experience (ie. sales and/or industry experience)
