What is this role?
As the Director of Total Rewards for Cirkul, you will be responsible for creating and driving the strategy, policy, and programs spanning all areas of compensation and benefits to attract and retain the best in class talent. You will be responsible for the strategic analysis, design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits across all new hires and current employees.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results:
- Lead the development and execution of a robust compensation and benefit strategy, ensuring market competitiveness for all roles, while considering geographical nuances and industry benchmarks.
- Oversee weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Create and execute a workers compensation reporting plan and work directly with the carrier/broker on all cases.
- Partner with third party administrators, legal and people operations team on all leave of absences including Short-Term Disability, FMLA, accommodations, Long-Term Disability and Workers Compensation claims.
- Taking Ownership:
- Conduct research, quantitative analysis, data modeling, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand trends to drive strategic decisions around people.
- Making Decisions:
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of benefits effectiveness and relevance, offering recommendations for improvements based on employee feedback and market dynamics.
- Cultivating Relationships:
- Partner with multiple stakeholders to gather and document job, organization, and occupational information including function, responsibilities, and skills required to ensure competitive compensation at all levels, including executives.
- Serve as a consultant to the People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams to support their decision making for hiring, promotions, specific organizational initiatives, and annual compensation & benefit program
- Instilling Trust:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
- Customer Focus:
- Present employee benefits through in person and virtual meetings, as well as written and graphic announcements.
- Maintain an open line of communication with employees to answer any and all benefit related questions. Support team members in filing claims, including medical, prescription, dental, vision, non-work related disability claims, and COBRA events.
What background should you have?
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 7+ years of experience in Total Rewards. U.S. Public Company experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work hands on and strategically with your team
- Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to compensation and benefit programs
- Strong consultative skills and highly effective in communicating both verbally and written
- Ability to solve complex problems using best practices, knowledge of internal and external business issues to provide a new perspective on existing solutions and/or create new solutions
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
