Requirements
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Willingness to comply with ISO 9001:2015 clauses and subclauses, current fiscal-year NAVSEA Standard Items, and AIT Maintenance Manual 9090-310H Appendix 4.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, in-process work instructions, and forms.
  • Willingness to obtain formal nondestructive testing visual-inspection training; certification is not required because the company will provide certification.
  • Some knowledge of welding and safety, specifically Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, record keeping, and accident reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and project management.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
  • Ability to work at a desk and computer for long periods of time in a moderately noisy work environment.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure inspections are scheduled and performed as required and review all data to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Design inspection and testing mechanisms and perform statistical analysis.
  • Confer with management to determine quality and reliability standards and recommend modifications to existing standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and surveillances to ensure adherence to company procedures and policies in quality control, safety, and training.
  • Conduct and chair periodic quality management reviews.
  • Maintain a safe work environment within the organization.
  • Ensure personnel are trained on the use of personal protective equipment and that the equipment is available for their use.
  • Ensure personnel are trained and certified to perform skills required by the organization.
  • Ensure fire-prevention equipment within the organization is inspected and ready for use.
  • Handle complex tasks involving the analysis and development of technical specifications for enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems.
  • Document ideas and present them to peers and customers.
