Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years experience designing hardware for high volume manufacturing instruments
  • Solid EE fundamentals, work level knowledge and experience with common communication bus protocols(I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Knowledge of high speed circuit design
  • Working level knowledge of embedded C
  • Solid understanding in signal/power integrity concepts and best practices including transmission line theory
  • Experience with schematic capture and constraint-driven PCB layout design using Cadence tools or similar
  • Hands-on hardware bringup, functional validation, and debugging experience using common EE test equipment (i.e oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, DMM, power supplies and electronic loads).
  • Master’s or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Familiarity or proficiency in Cadence Allegro System Capture
  • Design experience with STM32 and modern Altera FPGA
  • Knowledge and experience with high speed bus protocols: USB2/3/4, DisplayPort, HDMI, PCIE, Thunderbolt
  • Passion to take on new challenges, learn new skills, and continually develop by staying open minded and curious. Strong sense of project ownership/accountability, with the ability to comprehensively handle tasks from start to finish independently.
Responsibilities
  • Propose, negotiate, and design EE solutions to achieve functional and performance objectives
  • Design and schematic capture of digital and analog electrical circuits and systems
  • Lead and review PCB layouts
  • Bring up and validate the instrumentation designs
  • Collaborate with deployment teams to analyze and debug issues during factory integration, guarantee the success of the solutions factory intercepts.
