About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years in revenue operations, marketing operations, go-to-market engineering, or an analytics role embedded in revenue, including at least 2 years of hands-on HubSpot experience.
  • Experience building revenue infrastructure where little existed before.
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance, handling consumer data, consent, retention, and access controls as design constraints.
  • A track record of implementing material customer relationship management changes on a live revenue team without breaking reporting.
  • Deep, hands-on HubSpot experience, including custom objects and properties, workflows and custom code actions, forms, content management system modules, customer relationship management and Marketing APIs, complex associations, and marketing contact economics.
  • SQL fluency and the ability to reason about data models, not just run reports.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, data mapping, and reliable synchronization between systems, including handling sync failures.
  • Scripting ability sufficient to automate repetitive work.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Responsibilities
  • Own the HubSpot instance end to end across portals, including the object model, lifecycle stages, properties, associations, pipelines, workflows, forms, integrations, and marketing contact economics.
  • Reconcile duplicate records, retire obsolete workflows, audit installed apps that mutate data, and maintain clean consent and deliverability.
  • Understand and defend the contact tier and seat count at renewal.
  • Define funnel stages and go-to-market metrics consistently across systems and business motions.
  • Enforce pipeline and data hygiene through automation.
  • Implement territory, segmentation, and ideal customer profile logic in the customer relationship management system; own routing, service-level agreements, and lifecycle transitions.
  • Build explainable lead and account scoring and the quota and compensation tracking infrastructure behind plan attainment.
  • Build enrichment and data waterfalls, signal-based plays using public and product data, and automated research and personalization for the top of the funnel.
  • Build lifecycle campaigns triggered by behavior rather than a calendar.
  • Instrument the student funnel end to end, identify where applicants stall, and act on the findings within a week.
  • Build and maintain landing pages, HubSpot content management system modules, and forms to support campaigns.
  • Build and maintain API, webhook, and OAuth integrations between HubSpot, the product, and third-party services.
  • Design dependable data flows with validation, observability, consent handling, access controls, and clear failure recovery.
  • Partner with the data team to ensure HubSpot data lands cleanly and reportably in Snowflake and is trustworthy for AI analytics agents used in Slack.
  • Identify and build useful AI tools for the revenue organization, including enrichment and research agents, deal-desk assistants, and self-serve reporting.
  • Follow production automation patterns including scoped credentials, audit trails, and kill switches.
  • Use AI-assisted development where it improves quality and speed, applying judgment about when not to use it.
  • Plan and implement material changes to systems in active use without breaking historical reporting or team trust.
  • Communicate system changes before launch, involve sales representatives and customer success managers, and prevent undiscovered breakage.
  • Maintain a defensible record of system changes, including when and why they occurred and who approved them.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Data, and Engineering to translate business goals into working systems.
  • Explain technical tradeoffs, options, and risks to non-technical stakeholders, and manage expectations about requested work.
  • Own work from discovery and design through implementation, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
  • Break work into milestones, communicate progress and risk, and deliver reliable increments on schedule.
  • Prioritize work against ongoing demand and available capacity.
  • Document system architecture, customer relationship management configuration, integration behavior, and operational runbooks for technical and business audiences.
  • Train and support internal teams so they can use, maintain, and troubleshoot delivered systems.
  • Build systems that are not single points of failure or black boxes, and help determine where moving the stack toward version control is worthwhile.
  • Measure and improve conversion across both funnels, identify bottlenecks, and improve internal workflows.
  • Use analytics instrumentation, monitoring, and production diagnostics to catch regressions before they affect representatives or applicants.
  • Quantify the impact of delivered work and assess what did not work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to a data warehouse and business intelligence tools such as Snowflake or dbt, or equivalent.
  • Applied large language model tooling for enrichment, scoring, research, or go-to-market analytics, with a practical understanding of its strengths and limitations.
  • Experience with lending, fintech, or another high-volume consumer funnel.
  • Experience with both consumer funnel work and enterprise business-to-business pipeline work.
  • Experience in a multi-product or multi-motion company where one revenue vocabulary did not fit the entire business.

About the company

Clasp provides education financing using Income Share Agreements to fund students for college, coding bootcamps, and vocational programs, and also offers financial planning resources and employer partnerships. It works by giving funding in exchange for a share of the student’s future income for a set period, with repayments based on earned income rather than fixed payments. Clasp differentiates itself from traditional lenders by tying revenue to student outcomes through ISAs, emphasizing employer partnerships and a mission-driven approach to support inclusivity and success. Its goal is to help learners fund their education without heavy debt, improve career outcomes, and strengthen workforces by supporting funded graduates toward sustainable employment.

What believers are saying

  • Series B closed March 26, 2026, adding $20 million and lifting capital to $50 million.
  • Clasp says employers use its platform across 1,140 programs and 10,000 students.
  • July 2026 federal loan caps intensified healthcare hiring demand and student-debt pressure.

What critics are saying

  • Healthcare revenue concentration exposes Clasp to budget cuts and hiring freezes at health systems.
  • Loan-repayment incentives expire when employees quit, so weak retention breaks unit economics.
  • Vemo Education, GradFin, and staffing firms can copy the perk and undercut pricing.

What makes Clasp unique

  • Clasp sells retention, not recruiting: employers repay loans only while clinicians stay.
  • Boston Children’s, Northwestern Medicine, and Memorial Sloan Kettering anchor Clasp’s healthcare credibility.
  • By March 2026, Clasp had committed over $130 million in loan repayment.

Clasp raises $20M to tackle healthcare worker turnover with loan repayment incentives

Clasp, a healthcare retention recruitment platform, has raised $20 million in Series B funding led by Crosslink Capital and Digitalis Ventures, bringing total capital raised to $50 million. The company replaces traditional sign-on bonuses with loan repayment programmes linked to employee tenure. Clasp works with major health systems including Boston Children's Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering. The company claims its approach drives retention rates 2.5 times higher than traditional hiring models, with over $130 million in employer commitments made to date. The funding comes as new federal loan caps take effect in July, limiting graduate students to $20,500 annually and $100,000 aggregate borrowing. Healthcare employers have quadrupled over the past year, as clinician turnover costs organisations up to $500,000 per physician.
