Duty Manager
About the job
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Duty Manager, preferably in a luxury hotel.
- Proficiency in using Property Management System Opera and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese are required; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline team members, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, facilities, services, and operating hours.
- Maintain complete knowledge of room types, numbers, layouts, decor, appointments, and locations.
- Maintain complete knowledge of room rates, special packages, and promotions.
- Maintain knowledge of daily house counts and expected arrivals, departures, and VIP guests.
- Maintain knowledge of room availability status for any given day.
- Maintain knowledge of scheduled in-house group activities, locations, and times.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel and departmental policies and procedures, including LQA and Forbes Standards.
- During overnight shifts, conduct the Night Audit; prepare, save, and send requested reports; check and search arrival profiles; enter information in Opera; and prepare Mondrian Hotel News for all departments.
- Monitor the check-in and check-out process, anticipate critical situations, and assist as necessary to alleviate pressure and process guests efficiently.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests regardless of workload or time of day.
- Experience as a Duty Manager in a luxury hotel.
- Additional language skills.
