Requirements
- A New Hampshire medical license or New Hampshire nursing license and New Hampshire Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license is required.
- A current Drug Enforcement Administration registration is required.
- American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification in General Psychiatry is required for physicians holding an MD or DO.
- Prescribing knowledge and comfort for adults and adolescents are required.
- Formal Child and Adolescent Psychiatry certification is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric care to assigned consumers at various program sites.
- Assess and diagnose consumers to determine the appropriateness of medication treatment.
- Conduct ongoing medication evaluation and monitoring.
- Participate in patient treatment planning as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Manage various teams and projects to ensure a high standard of care while adhering to medical best practices and informatics data.
- Ensure assigned consumers receive appropriate diagnostic assessment and treatment management within a comprehensive treatment plan in collaboration with other team members.
- Provide continuity of care through collaborative involvement with external care providers.
- Function as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Participate in agency-related functions that contribute to the overall mission of MFS.
- Provide direct psychiatric services consistent with MFS work standards.
- Complete administrative tasks to optimize the availability and utilization of psychiatric time and services.
- Perform similar or related duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.
Desired Qualifications
- Psychiatric certification is preferred for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
