Responsibilities
Develop and implement data-driven solutions to address key business challenges.
Create and maintain reports, dashboards, analytical models, charts, visualizations, and analyses to provide actionable insights, improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and achieve strategic objectives.
Identify opportunities to streamline data processes and automate tasks to increase efficiency and productivity.
Work on multiple innovative and foundational solutions concurrently in response to day-to-day requests.
Present outputs in a user-friendly manner.
Provide summaries of results and independently or collaboratively develop recommendations when applicable.
Deliver work according to department standard operating procedures.
Bring new ideas and enhancements to existing projects and reports.
Review and validate data and findings before releasing reports to the quality assurance analyst and customer.
Identify and implement ways to improve or streamline existing processes using new technologies.
Understand and utilize primary and supplemental data sources within Independent Health.
Work with Informatics teams to establish data lineages and relationships for assigned reports.
Stay current with data technologies and industry trends by learning new data tools and techniques to enhance analytical capabilities.

Overview
The Data Innovation Analyst-Intermediate will be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable insights for Independent Health. The analyst will develop and maintain innovative data-driven solutions to enhance quality of care, address health disparities, reduce costs, optimize clinical operations, improve coding accuracy, and refine member segmentation. The Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams. They will drive the adoption of new technologies and uncover innovative ways to leverage data for organizational success.
The analyst will possess a strong foundation in data analysis, a keen interest in healthcare, and a desire to explore the potential of emerging technologies like AI and machine learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/research discipline required. Master’s degree preferred. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Three (3) years of analytics experience required. Experience in a managed health care environment preferred.

This is a hybrid position with onsite attendance required at our Williamsville location.
