About the Job

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, focused on data transformation, modeling, or analytics platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one general-purpose language such as Python or Scala.
  • Regularly use AI coding tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor in development workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM-driven architectures, including RAG systems, agentic workflows such as LangGraph or CrewAI, and vector or graph databases for context and ontology.
  • Familiarity with prompt design, Spec-Driven Development, and AI-assisted code review.
  • Deep expertise in data orchestration systems, particularly Airflow, and experience building reliable data pipelines using frameworks such as Great Expectations.
  • Fluency with infrastructure-as-code and platform engineering tools, including Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience implementing automated enterprise governance using DataHub or similar platforms for lineage, cataloging, and role-based access control policies.
  • Experience building observability frameworks, including tools such as Grafana and xMatters integration, and automated alerting.
  • Experience building portals and developer tools that enable domain teams to independently build, manage, and consume trusted data products.
  • Understanding of data quality practices, including validation, enrichment, schema enforcement, and business-rule encoding.
  • Ability to operate collaboratively across functions while balancing business logic with platform scalability.
  • Track record of traceability, reproducibility, and semantic clarity in reusable, trustworthy data models.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core Control Plane infrastructure to orchestrate the data lifecycle from ingestion and transformation through distribution.
  • Build observability frameworks and automated quality gates to improve platform reliability and data trust.
  • Develop self-service portals and golden templates that enable domain teams to build, manage, and consume trusted data products autonomously.
  • Automate compliance and security policies, including end-to-end data lineage, role-based access control, and personally identifiable information protection.
  • Build foundational data architecture and contribute to context and retrieval-augmented generation systems for data-driven intelligence.
  • Use AI coding assistants to draft transformation logic, generate tests, refactor pipelines, explore datasets, and produce semantic documentation; review AI output for correctness and alignment with business rules.
  • Share AI-tooling patterns, prompts, and workflows with the team.
  • Work with domain experts, data scientists, and product stakeholders to translate business concepts into a supporting framework.
  • Implement classifications, key performance indicators, scoring algorithms, and business rules with traceability and data lineage.
  • Follow and contribute to data-modeling, documentation, and governance standards for the semantic layer, including auditable use of AI-generated code and artifacts.
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate ingestion, master data management, and data product layers.
