Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Review and update the logbook, check equipment, and remain aware of daily activities, hotel facilities, occupancy, functions, groups, and special assignments.
  • Oversee day-to-day front-office operations and report regularly to supervisors or the night manager when on shift.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching.
  • Follow fire and first-aid procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints and requests, liaise with the relevant departments for follow-up, and report issues to supervisors.
  • Implement and coordinate the Front Office Operational Standards Manual and comply with company values and operational standards.
  • Prepare for daily arrivals by allocating rooms and checking traces for guest requests.
  • Register and process guest check-ins and update guest information in the computer system.
  • Perform cashiering duties, foreign-exchange transactions, night-audit tasks, and settlement upon guest departure.
  • Handle walk-in counter reservations and process telephone reservations when the reservations section is closed.
  • Provide courteous guest service and respond promptly to requests and inquiries.
  • Issue guest room key cards and maintain effective control for guest security.
  • Check and convey messages to guests.
  • Assist at the information counter, foreign exchange, night audit, and business centre when assigned.
  • Check the paymaster and assist supervisors in clearing pending paymasters.
  • Review the logbook, verify outstanding items, and follow up on pending matters.
  • File daily reception reports and documents systematically.
  • Attend briefings, take notes, and follow up on assigned actions.
  • Acknowledge all guests at the desk, maintain eye contact, and focus on guest needs.
  • Communicate relevant operational information to the next shift at the end of the shift or day.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and the General Manager regarding MIPs and VIPs.
  • Maintain familiarity with company documentation and the relevant Operational Standards Manual.
  • Drive upselling.
  • Attend scheduled training classes and cooperate respectfully with the team and other departments.
  • Print the panic report at least twice per shift.
  • Maintain adherence to the property's environmental protocols by improving energy and water efficiency, reducing waste, supporting sustainable purchasing, and contributing to compliance.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as requested.
