Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program required.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Eight years of professional engineering experience (PE license required for LNG Sr Engineer II).
  • PE License required for LNG Sr Engineer II; PE License preferred for LNG Sr Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of high- and medium-voltage power systems in heavy industrial or process facilities.
  • Experience or ability to interpret codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, NFPA 70E).
  • Must have a valid TWIC card or proof of TWIC application prior to employment.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.
  • Relocation assistance is available dependent upon eligibility requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Perform power system modeling, load flow, short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies using ETAP.
  • Maintain the site-wide arc-flash program and ensure NFPA 70E compliance.
  • Develop, test, and maintain protective relay settings and coordination for 13.8 kV and 4.16 kV systems.
  • Support the Fast Load Shedding and Power Management Systems for plant turbines and black-start generators.
  • Lead or support Root Cause Failure Analyses and bad-actor elimination for electrical equipment.
  • Provide electrical discipline input to Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP revalidation studies, capital projects, turnarounds, and outages.
  • Review and maintain electrical drawings (single-line diagrams, schematics, area classification, etc.).
  • Support troubleshooting and emergency response for critical electrical events.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers, I&E technicians, and operations personnel.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in LNG, refining, petrochemical, or large power generation facilities.
  • Hands-on experience with SEL, GE Multilin, or Beckwith relays.
  • Experience with ETAP.
