What believers are saying

  • AI OpsHub and 3CLogic Voice AI give Astreya fresh upsell hooks in 2026.
  • Google Cloud Next 2026 and ServiceNow Store placements expand distribution through partner marketplaces.
  • Cognizant's $600 million purchase funds broader cross-sell into AI infrastructure, workplace, and security accounts.

What critics are saying

  • Cognizant integration starts now; duplicated roles and culture clash can hit engineers by Q4 2026.
  • Astreya's hyperscaler concentration leaves revenue exposed if one Magnificent Seven customer rebids contracts in 2027.
  • If Cognizant strips Astreya into a services layer, brand dilution kills hiring and deal flow.

What makes Astreya unique

  • Astreya serves six Magnificent Seven hyperscalers, built on 25 years of data-center operations.
  • AI OpsHub, launched April 14 2026, combines Google Cloud and ServiceNow with explainable automation.
  • June 22 2026 Cognizant closed Astreya, validating its enterprise scale and production-grade infrastructure expertise.

Astreya integrates 3CLogic voice AI into ServiceNow to unify contact center and ITSM operations

Astreya, a global IT managed services provider, has expanded its AI-first service desk by integrating 3CLogic's voice AI platform with ServiceNow IT Service Management. The integration unifies voice interactions, incident management and AI insights in a single interface, eliminating the need for agents to switch between multiple systems. The platform delivers production-ready AI capabilities including real-time transcription, AI-driven guidance during live interactions, automated call summaries and AI-powered quality monitoring. 3CLogic holds ServiceNow's Elite Build Partner status, the highest technical integration level available. The integration aims to transform voice interactions into connected, searchable assets whilst enabling users to interact with AI agents via voice channels. Astreya says the unified approach addresses the complexity of modern enterprise service environments.

Cognizant acquires Astreya to scale AI infrastructure amid $6.7T data centre buildout

Cognizant has agreed to acquire Astreya, a global AI-first IT managed services provider based in San Jose, California, for an undisclosed sum. The transaction, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, will expand Cognizant's AI infrastructure capabilities and strengthen its position as an "AI builder". Founded in 2001 and operating across over 35 countries, Astreya provides managed services to six of the "Magnificent Seven" hyperscalers. Its proprietary AI OpsHub platform and expertise in designing and managing AI infrastructure across the full value chain will complement Cognizant's existing capabilities. The acquisition comes amid a projected $6.7 trillion AI data centre infrastructure buildout between 2025 and 2030, with the five largest hyperscalers expected to spend nearly $700 billion on infrastructure in 2026 alone.

Cognizant to buy Astreya for about $600 million. Published 04/29/2026, 04:34 AM Updated 04/29/2026, 04:36 AM (C) Reuters. By Milana Vinn and Natalia Bueno Rebolledo April 29 (Reuters) - Cognizant Technology has agreed to buy Astreya, an IT services and technology provider focused on AI infrastructure and data center services, in a deal valued at around $600 million, the company told Reuters. The deal is expected to strengthen Cognizant's AI infrastructure capabilities, as companies ramp up spending on the technology that is reshaping industries. The deal, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026 pending regulatory approvals, is likely to be announced on Wednesday. Cognizant has benefited from enterprise clients accelerating AI integration and automation as they migrate workloads to the cloud. The company has expanded partnerships with Microsoft and AI startup Anthropic to stay ahead of rivals in a highly competitive industry. "By acquiring Astreya and its proprietary AI tooling and production-grade infrastructure platform, which is complementary to Cognizant's AI builder stack, we will be even better-positioned to help clients architect their platform-led AI systems and operationalise them at scale," Chief Executive Ravi Kumar S said. The Astreya deal builds on a recent run of acquisitions aimed at strengthening Cognizant's AI business. The company bought tech consulting firm 3Cloud in January to expand its Microsoft Azure capabilities and acquired digital engineering firm Belcan in 2024 for nearly $1.3 billion. Founded in 2001, Astreya has spent nearly a decade managing data center infrastructure, AI lab environments and enterprise networks for six of the so-called Magnificent Seven tech firms. Cognizant, valued at $26 billion, has lost more than a third of its market value this year, weighed down by a weak demand outlook for IT services and AI-driven deflation fears. Astreya launches AI OpsHub to transform hybrid IT management with explainable AI

Astreya, a global IT managed services provider, has launched AI OpsHub, a platform designed to transform how enterprises manage hybrid IT environments. The solution addresses the gap between cost pressures and AI adoption complexity by providing visibility into IT operations across fragmented systems. AI OpsHub integrates with Google Cloud and ServiceNow, alongside Astreya's proprietary solutions. The platform features a library of over two million IT operational tasks and includes explainable AI to provide transparency in decision-making. It aims to enable organisations to scale workloads without proportionally increasing headcount. The company will showcase the platform at Google Cloud Next 2026 and ServiceNow Knowledge 2026 in Las Vegas.
