Requirements
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience serving as a lead analyst within a team and being a mentor to others
  • Experience collaborating with customers across many teams and levels within an enterprise
  • Experience leading projects from the ground up, breaking work into logical components, and delegating tasks
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Python for data cleaning and data wrangling, and ability to work with source code via pull requests, CICD pipelines, etc
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with the following: SQL, data warehouses, Tableau or similar data visualization tools
  • Ability to design monitoring rules for validating data quality within data pipelines
Responsibilities
  • Lead data model design and data analysis aspects of the FinOps team’s software development, including close collaboration with FinOps software engineers
  • Own the design, maintenance, and data quality within all user-facing data visualizations
  • Engage with data creators and customers across the organization to design data ingestion, normalization, and visualization which satisfies the data analysis objectives
  • Assist FinOps Product Management with prioritizing endeavors based upon achieved outcomes and level of effort
  • Coordinate with customers across the enterprise to ensure cost optimization and cost transparency initiatives are effective and valuable
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices and cost management analysis
  • Previous experience with software engineering platforms such as AWS, Splunk, Datadog
  • Previous experience working on organization-wide projects at a scale of 50 or more teams
