Senior ESG Analyst
The Sr. ESG Analyst will lead the implementation and oversight of our comprehensive ESG programs. This role involves strategizing and managing ESG-related events, acting as the primary contact for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), enhancing our external ESG branding, coordinating stakeholder surveys, and compiling essential reports for the board and stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our operations reflect our ESG commitments and assist in driving initiatives that integrate ESG principles into our business strategies.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate and execute ESG initiatives in alignment with company goals and ESG commitments.
- Lead the organization and execution of ESG events, ensuring they reflect our values and contribute to our sustainability goals. (Ex. Billtrust for Better Day)
- Provide leadership and guidance on employee giving and volunteering programs, enhancing employee engagement and community impact. (Ex. Season of Giving)
- Manage external ESG branding efforts in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition, and Marketing team to position Billtrust as a leader in ESG and a preferred employer.
- Oversee the creation and execution of surveys for strategic ESG data gathering, informing decision-making processes and reporting. (Ex. Best Places to Work survey, HRC - CEI certification)
- Compile and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement, and build board reports and portfolio company reporting, ensuring accurate representation of our ESG initiatives.
- Liaise with internal departments, including Compliance, Security, and Finance, to ensure the company’s operations align with ESG commitments.
- Serve as the primary liaison for ERGs, providing leadership to the ERG chairs, and fostering an environment that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) for all Billtrust employees.
- Administer our compliance & security training program.
- Assist the ESG Strategy and Engagement Leader in managing and executing ESG initiatives, contributing to the strategic direction and success of our programs. (Materiality assessment data gathering, Transformational KPI support)
- Support the development and implementation of employee giving and volunteering programs to enhance employee engagement and our company’s philanthropic efforts. (ELT Onsite, Season of Giving)
- Work with internal stakeholders and the Talent team to curate content for training programs as needed.
- Administer our LMS, LXP, and survey technologies to support enterprise-wide programming as needed.
- Develop and maintain already established vendor relationships and participate in making recommendations for vendor selection.
- Leverage project management techniques to manage multiple projects and deliverables
- Summarize data and apply design expertise to present ideas to the Talent team, internal stakeholders, business partners, senior leaders, and private equity owner
- Develop and implement talent development programs to foster our DEIB workplace culture and enhance diverse talent growth.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Human Resources Management, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in ESG, CSR, HR, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading sustainability or social responsibility programs.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize teams across the organization toward common goals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of representing Billtrust externally.
- Strategic thinker with outstanding organizational and project management skills.
- Deep commitment to and knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability principles.
- Experience facilitating both virtual and face-to-face learning and events
- Proficiency with administering talent development and ESG technologies: LMS, LXP, 360 Surveys, Content Creators, etc. (Lessonly, Linked In Learning, Degreed, Glint, Skillsoft, Benevity preferred).
- Built collaborative relationships with colleagues and leaders throughout the organization
- Ability to thrive in a “work from anywhere” fast-paced Saas environment
- Experience working as a self-director managing their own timelines and set priorities
- Critical thinking and problem-solving; the ability to assess situations and provide alternate solutions
- Strong strategic and systems thinking skills with an ability to collaborate with team members on best practices
The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $118,000 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our Talent Acquisition team during the interview process.
