Chariot Claims raises $10M Series A to help consumers fight hidden fees and subscription traps

Chariot Claims, a New York-based startup that helps consumers pursue claims over privacy violations, hidden fees and hard-to-cancel subscriptions, has raised $10 million in Series A funding led by Silverton Partners. Indicator Ventures, Lightbank, Neon Fund, ZVC, Rosecliff Ventures, Alumni Ventures, FJ Labs, Graph Ventures and Vermilion Ventures also took part. The round brings total funding to $15.7 million, including a $3.6 million seed round in April 2025. Chariot works with law firms to find cases and affected consumers, and gathers the information needed to seek compensation. It charges firms flat fees and does not file claims itself. Founder and chief executive officer Zim Hang said it receives more than 200,000 claim submissions a month and has taken on about 80 cases. The company has about 15 employees and is breaking even. It will spend the funds mainly on hiring and product development, including AI tools to review cases.
