- A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, or electrical work are required.
- Basic welding experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics is required.
- Applicants must have or obtain the tools needed to perform the assigned tasks.
- Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Lockout/tagout certification is required.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in the assigned area.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility.
- Perform repairs and equipment installation or removal efficiently.
- Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.
- Respond to plant emergencies, including hazardous-material incidents, equipment malfunctions, fires, and severe weather, as directed by supervision.
- Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders, requests, and checklists.
- Perform special projects and duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or manager.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is preferred.

6/23/22 George’s Inc.: Poultry and Prepared Foods announced it will close one of its food processing plants in Campbell County, Tennessee But the string of fires that continue to damage manufacturing plants across the United States appears to be a deliberate effort to sabotage food processing operations.
George's Inc. announced it would be closing its Caryville food processing plant, WVLT-TV reported.
