About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience in B2B software with real customers, including end-to-end product or product-area ownership and demonstrable business outcomes.
  • Genuine interest in data platforms, cloud economics, and AI agents, with a preference for prototyping and regular customer conversations.
  • Ability to conduct customer interviews and pilots with enterprise teams independently.
  • Comfort using SQL with product usage and billing data to make evidence-based decisions and distinguish meaningful metrics from vanity metrics.
  • Understanding of B2B SaaS business models, including pricing, packaging, enterprise procurement, security review, renewals, and expansion.
  • Fluency with AI and agentic tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, and large language models for research synthesis, data analysis, and prototyping in real work.
  • Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate clearly to data engineers, executives, and procurement teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and autonomy in a small team without middle management; ability to independently own outcomes and follow through.

Responsibilities

  • Own the value and business viability of shipped products, measured by customer savings, feature adoption, account expansion, and renewals.
  • Translate product strategy into quarterly team objectives, prioritize the most important problems, and provide teams with problems to solve rather than prescriptive features.
  • Use product and billing data, regular customer conversations, Google pricing and platform changes, and competitor activity to identify insights and opportunities.
  • Validate product value and viability through prototypes, customer pilots, and pricing tests; use evidence to stop low-potential ideas early.
  • Build customer-facing prototypes with AI tools when that is the fastest way to learn.
  • Own product viability, including pricing and packaging, enterprise procurement and security review, go-to-market enablement for TAMs and Customer Engineers, release readiness, and sales narratives.
  • Develop deep knowledge of customers, including differences in their teams, workloads, priorities, and needs.
  • Work directly with the founders to turn their product vision into actionable strategy and deliver results.
  • Use AI agents to analyze billing data, synthesize customer discovery with large language models, and build prototypes when appropriate.

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical fluency to discuss designs with senior data engineers, read query plans, and explain cloud data warehouse billing.
  • A technical background in software or data engineering, solutions architecture, or a technical degree.
  • Product experience in developer tools, data infrastructure, cloud platforms, or products sold to engineers.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud, including BigQuery slots, reservations, editions pricing, INFORMATION_SCHEMA, and GCP billing; alternatively, comparable depth in another cloud data warehouse and willingness to become an expert in BigQuery within 90 days.
  • Experience shipping AI-powered or autonomous features and establishing the trust and guardrails required for enterprise adoption.
  • Experience as a founder or first product hire, having established a product motion rather than followed one.
