About the job
- Five to ten years of experience in embedded software development.
- A BE/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Telecommunication, or an ME/Master of Engineering or M.Tech degree in an allied field.
- Strong experience programming embedded C applications, including C inheritance, templates, and pointers.
- Strong development experience with embedded C and real-time operating systems.
- Automotive domain experience and knowledge of automotive software development in C.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Strong development experience with CAN, FlexRay, UDS, KWP, and SPI communication protocols.
- Knowledge of CANalyzer, CANoe, CANDiva, CANstress, CANDELA Studio, and Lauterbach.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Experience with Shell, Perl, CAPL, Make, Python, Visual Basic, or MATLAB scripting.
- Experience using Logiscope, function generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect-tracking tools, version-control systems, and peer review.
- Knowledge of crash physics and dynamics, requirements engineering, embedded systems, control systems, ISO 14229 and ISO 14230 network protocols.
- Experience with Jenkins, continuous integration, continuous testing, and ALM/RTC.
- Hands-on experience using Rhapsody, MATLAB, Simulink, and TargetLink.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum methodology.
- Exposure to model-based software development.
- Develop embedded software applications for automotive airbag systems.
- Work independently and as part of a dedicated project team.
- Apply embedded development tools and methodologies.
- Debug embedded software and investigate defects using relevant development and testing tools.
- Participate in software configuration management, defect tracking, version control, and peer review activities.
- Deep-dive into technical topics and contribute to requirements engineering.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter attitude and commitment to learning and growth.
- Ability to demonstrate ownership as an independent team member.
