Requirements
- A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience, including clinical supervision of students, is required.
- A valid New York State Professional Registered Nurse license is required.
- Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer or Health Provider certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues is required.
Responsibilities
- Meet the assigned course load as agreed upon at the beginning of the term.
- Provide high-quality instruction to students in assigned courses, emphasizing active teaching strategies to engage students.
- Be available to students for office hours as directed by the Director of Nursing.
- Submit grades for assignments as directed by the course coordinator.
- Provide regular feedback to students.
- Plan instructional activities.
- Communicate issues with the course coordinator.
- Attend faculty meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing.
- Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation of classroom instruction.
Desired Qualifications
- A doctorate in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
