Requirements
  • Associates degree in Robotics/electronics engineering technology or related field
  • 2 years’ experience with ABB and Fanuc robot programming
  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics/electronics engineering technology or related field preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience with ABB and Fanuc programming preferred
  • Familiarity with automotive welding applications preferred
  • Competency with other robot manufacturers: Kuka, Nachi, Motoman
  • Thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing job tasks
  • Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with different team members and different levels of the organization
  • Able to utilize computer aided modeling to ensure work meets customer needs
Responsibilities
  • Develop robot software & hardware standardization
  • Communicate standards to machine builders and Challenge Manufacturing production facilities
  • Assist with implementation of standards and audit adherence to them
  • Ensure robotic performance meets the needs of internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate CMC robotic performance standards to production plants and machine builders/suppliers
  • Conduct audits to ensure standardized practices from location to location
  • Update/develop code for common applications used within Challenge
  • Integrate with process controllers, graphical interfaces, bitmap structure, Safemove/DCS programming, firmware/Baseware management, and path programming/optimization
  • Define specifications for new robots including robot type, controller details, and dress pack details
