Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • A Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in oil and gas is required.
  • Experience as a Civil Engineer on large industrial projects in midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil and gas industries is required.
  • Experience completing site development, grading, and drainage design for industrial facilities is required.
  • Experience completing and producing design documents for the structural design of industrial facilities is required.
  • Proficiency in RISA 3D, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, including ASCE, ACI, and AISC, is required.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and working with civil design teams is required.
  • The ability to work under pressure, coordinate numerous activities, and interface effectively with cooperating stakeholders is required.
  • The ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods at a desk while working on a computer is required.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods, walk job sites, and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering techniques and analysis to complete a wide variety of difficult civil and structural engineering assignments.
  • Manage one or more projects at a given time.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to complete projects.
  • Act as the lead civil engineer for assigned projects.
  • Interact with engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, and clients.
  • Provide input into initial project schedules and support regular maintenance of project schedules for all projects.
  • Provide man-hour and equipment estimates for project proposals as required.
  • Follow procedures and systems to maximize department efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of industrial facilities is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
