About the job
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing program.
- Current licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing.
- After orientation, demonstrate competence in the care of post-partum, labor and delivery, C-section patients, and newborns.
- Successfully complete NRP, ACLS, BLS, fetal scalp electrode, IUPC, and neonatal IV therapy certifications following assignment to the Birthplace/Special Deliveries unit within one year of assignment.
- Administer and supervise direct and indirect patient care within Post-partum/GYN, Nursery, Labor and Delivery, and the C-Section operating room.
