Requirements
  • A BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to interface successfully with senior level management.
  • Ability to work with government, regulatory agencies, and ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist personnel to problem solve and formulate strategies for success.
  • Extensive experience in supporting RCRA closures (clean and land fill) with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessments, walk-downs, reviews and coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Extensive experience using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and/or other MS Office tools.
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialists.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings.

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the review of tank closure documents, schedules, milestones, design packages, and modifications and provide technical and regulatory recommendations.
  • Provide consulting and strategic recommendations based upon the review of tank closure documents, coordination of reviews, developments of regulatory positions, and consolidation of comments for DOE Hanford submittal to the ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist, as well as comment resolution.
  • Support upcoming TF contract transition actions and contract closeout activities including developing discrete schedule of tasks and deliverables.
  • Support oversight of various WTP readiness activities related to validating the ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist’s readiness to melter heatup and DFLAW hot/cold commissioning activities.
  • Attend meetings within DOE and regulatory agencies, Washington State Department of Ecology and Washington State Department of Health, as well as meetings or walk-downs on-site.
  • Support technical and regulatory reviews of tank closure documents and WTP readiness review activities to help formulate and implement regulatory recommendations and strategies.
  • Support reviews of RFI/CMS and readiness review affirmation submittals.
  • Support environmental compliance oversight activities at the WTP focused on operations of melters and DFLAW.
  • Conduct regulatory analysis (related to the Tank Farm closure) on the applicability, ability to implement, and impacts of environmental regulations, including new and proposed regulations.
  • Attend weekly ECD meetings, TF/WTP environmental interface meetings, meetings related to document reviews, and other meetings (such as design reviews).
  • Support the creation of a strategic electronic binder of regulatory letters and summary of impacts to the Hanford mission – and work in a business sensitive environment of impacts to the mission.
  • Provide assessments and reports weekly.
  • Participate in walk-downs, meeting attendance with DOE, ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialists, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide periodic reports of work overseen and any compliance deviations.
  • Participate in contract transition and closeout teams.
  • Follow-up on issues, findings, and other areas of concern.
  • Participate in meetings with senior management team, including preparation of meeting minutes.
