Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in West Virginia or ability to gain reciprocity
  • 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, preferably within a consulting environment
  • Experience managing geotechnical investigations and leading technical project work
  • Strong experience with geotechnical analysis, report preparation, and foundation design
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and project teams
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout all phases of project delivery
  • Support proposal development, project scoping, and client relationship management
  • Oversee field drilling and sampling operations, ensuring quality and safety in data collection
  • Prepare and review boring logs, laboratory testing programs, and geotechnical data analysis
  • Lead and contribute to the design of geotechnical elements including foundations, slopes, and retaining structures
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation
  • Provide geotechnical input across a variety of projects, including building foundations, landslide remediation, and infrastructure improvements
  • Oversee construction materials testing services, including earthwork, concrete, foundations, masonry, and pavements
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, geologists, and field staff
  • Lead and manage geotechnical subsurface investigations, including planning, coordination, and execution
