About the job
- A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- The candidate must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- The candidate must demonstrate verbal communication skills.
- The role requires extended standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing.
- The candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for 100 feet.
- The role may require working at heights up to or exceeding 10 feet.
- Close visual focus is required.
- The role occasionally requires extended and repetitive use of hand tools such as scissors or shears in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- The role requires manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and hand tools.
- Assist with nursery room maintenance, watering and fertilizing plants, and transplanting.
- Maintain plants through labeling, defoliation, and pest and disease control in the main vegetation areas.
- Perform irrigation tasks as outlined by the lead technician or manager.
- Move plants in an orderly and accurate manner, spacing them accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vegetation Lead Technician.
- Support plant quality, upkeep, and cultivation efficiency by performing tasks throughout the vegetative cycle.
