Personal Support Worker certification, RN, RPN, DSW, or at least 3,000 hours of demonstrated work experience in community care, long-term care, or a healthcare setting.
Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification and a successful Vulnerable Sector Check.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients and partners in a diverse community.

Responsibilities
Assist clients in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, as required and outlined in the client’s individual service plan, under the direction of the client.
Provide high-quality support services that enable clients to live independently within their community.
Travel to and from client homes.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and ability in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant-care duties would be an asset.

Who we are: ILS is an Ontario Health funded not for profit agency providing support and services to adults wishing to live independently in their homes. Through our programs and services, we are able to assist adults living with permanent physical disabilities and seniors aging at home lead independent, dignified, and productive lives.
What you would be doing: Reporting to the Supervisor of Staffing, ILS Attendants provide high quality support services that enable clients to live independently, within their community. Under limited supervision, this role includes assisting clients in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living (ADLs), and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) as required and as outlined in the client’s individual service plan, under the direction of the client.
Required Qualifications:
Personal Support Worker Certification, RN, RPN, DSW or a minimum of 3000 hours demonstrated work experience in community care/long-term care/healthcare setting.
