About the job
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of finance-related experience is required.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, IBM planning analytics, Power BI, Power Query, or other automation tools is preferred.
- Ability to design and deploy automated reporting solutions for P&L, cost center, and KPI tracking is preferred.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including macros, pivot tables, and dashboard creation, are preferred.
- Experience leading process improvements, implementing best practices, and driving efficiency across financial reporting is preferred.
- Analytical, presentation, critical thinking, and communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, are preferred.
- Lead product-area reporting, including full product-line P&L ownership, and ensure on-time delivery and first-pass yield for business planning, current forecasting, and month-end closing activities.
- Serve as the primary interface with manufacturing plants on controlling topics, driving alignment and transparency across operations.
- Prepare and present financial reporting and analysis for product-area leadership to support decisions with data-driven insights.
- Lead process-automation initiatives by developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, Power Query data models, and advanced Excel solutions to improve forecast accuracy, reduce manual effort, and accelerate reporting cycles.
- Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to optimize data pipelines, improve data quality, and implement self-service analytics tools for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts on reporting automation, financial modeling, and visualization best practices.
- Drive special projects, scenario modeling, and ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- An MBA is highly preferred.
- Two to four years of plant, cost, or sales controlling experience is preferred; experience collaborating with manufacturing operations is a plus.
- Five or more years of finance-related experience is preferred for the Senior Analyst level.
