Floor Care Technician
About the job
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Have extensive floor care product knowledge.
- Have working knowledge of multiple hard floor surfaces, including marble, granite, and VCT.
- Have working knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures, including shampooing, extracting, and bonneting.
- Be able to perform window cleaning and power washing duties.
- Have proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Have planning and scheduling skills, problem-solving ability, time management skills, and organizational skills to prioritize tasks, delegate, and follow up.
- Perform floor care cleaning services, window cleaning, and general janitorial duties according to client and company standards.
- Provide quality workmanship in a timely and effective manner, maintain punctuality, practice safety, and comply with company floor care procedures.
- Understand and practice client and company safety programs, promote safety to team members, and wear personal protective equipment while working.
- Perform floor care work, including stripping and refinishing hard surface floors, carpet care and extraction, and operating specialized floor care equipment.
- Perform assigned work in compliance with floor care procedures and processes.
- Inspect assigned areas during and after work to verify compliance with site-specific procedures and the client's Scope of Work.
- Keep supplies stocked and available, maintain clean and functional equipment, and report malfunctioning equipment promptly.
- Track inventory and equipment, provide feedback to the direct manager, and monitor utilization for efficient, cost-effective use.
- One or more years of floor technician experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
