Requirements
  • At least 2 years of property management experience.
  • A thorough understanding of the apartment leasing process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Responsibilities
  • Track vacancies using an extended Excel spreadsheet and report key metrics.
  • Update vacancies in a cloud-based property management system.
  • Monitor upcoming vacancies based on tenant move-out dates.
  • Take clear and representative pictures of newly available units.
  • Write task descriptions, email follow-ups, and leasing summary reports.
  • Post advertisements with pictures on Craigslist, vFlyer, Westside Rentals, RadPad, Apartments.com, and related websites.
  • Complete Requests for Tenancy Approval for Section 8 tenants and follow up with HUD and Section 8 to obtain responses.
  • Send follow-up emails to interested applicants after open houses.
  • Maintain knowledge of SoLa criteria and requirements.
  • Process applications, screen and interview tenants to determine eligibility for rental units.
  • Assist tenants with completing documents and collect bank statements, Section 8 vouchers, proof of income, and other required information.
  • Work with nonprofits and government agencies seeking to place tenants.
  • Complete the intake process for new tenants and complete leases accurately and on time.
  • Develop and execute strategic leasing plans to attract and retain tenants.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create property listings and promotional materials.
  • Adjust leasing strategies in response to market trends.
