Business Development Representative - Higher Ed
About the job
- A Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or higher degree.
- Ability to manage a high volume of simultaneous prospects, clients, and projects while meeting established sales activity goals.
- Ability to communicate with high-level higher education administrators regularly.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Conduct cold outreach within the higher education segment by prospecting leads and launching targeted outreach campaigns.
- Qualify interested prospects by phone or email and book meetings for the sales team.
- Work with the Director of Higher Education Partnerships to strategize targeting of specific higher education leads and overall pipeline growth.
- Achieve monthly quotas for lead generation, outreach, and qualified meetings booked.
- Track communications and relevant partner data in the sales customer relationship management system.
- Report cold outreach campaign data to leadership regularly.
- Develop expertise in ansrsource services, experience, and higher education expertise, and communicate these effectively to prospective clients.
- Stay current on higher education industry and client trends through professional publications, personal networks, and conferences, and inform leadership about market developments affecting existing or prospective client business.
- At least two years of sales, relationship management, or customer success experience.
- Desire to grow into a full sales or account management role.
- Prior experience in learning design, educational technology, or higher education.
- Experience using a sales customer relationship management system.
