- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Current New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician certification or eligibility for reciprocity is required.

- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification is preferred.
- Support the emergency department clinical team in providing patient care.
- Maintain environmental readiness.
- Assist with procedures and patient care.
- Carry out specific assigned duties.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team and patients.
- Support departmental initiatives, including patient throughput and customer service initiatives.
- Previous emergency department technician experience.
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification.
