Requirements
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
  • You will be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Employment with ARL at Penn State will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
  • You will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer.
Responsibilities
  • Develop control systems and implement on rotorcraft
  • Develop test plans and conduct flight tests to verify design and control law correctness, using modeling and simulation in the design and test preparation process
  • Develop modeling and simulation algorithms, and implement in code for use by the team
  • Understand digital engineering tools, techniques, and tactics for future projects
  • Prepare reports on results of testing, and present to sponsors

  • Students studying Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering are encouraged to apply.
