Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience managing artificial intelligence projects with multiple stakeholders and delivering production releases in fast-moving environments.
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of a client relationship, including commercial responsibility for account performance.
  • Background in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences, with an understanding of customer requirements and terminology.
  • Experience translating customer and market needs into product priorities that engineering teams can execute.
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical teams, with the credibility to discuss trade-offs with engineers.
  • Familiarity with modern artificial intelligence and software stacks, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, data pipelines, Python, and React or equivalent, without necessarily writing code.
  • Strong scope, requirements, and budget control, including practical command of milestones, risk, and change control.
  • Ability to operate independently without an established playbook and build processes as needed.
  • High-agency ownership from initial conversation through long-term partnership, with clarity, iteration, and decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences, including scientists, engineers, and executives.
  • Commercial judgment to identify client value and convert it into account growth.
  • Calm, structured problem-solving during incidents and changing constraints, with clear follow-through on actions and learning.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the biotech client, building trust with day-to-day users and senior stakeholders.
  • Set and manage priorities with the client while keeping expectations, scope, and commitments clear and realistic.
  • Run end-to-end communication, including regular updates, structured reviews, and escalation when delivery slips.
  • Own delivery into the account from commitments through shipment and adoption.
  • Take responsibility for account health, satisfaction, renewal risk, and commercial outcomes, and report these to leadership.
  • Manage the internal team delivering the account by setting direction, sequencing work, and maintaining momentum.
  • Translate client feedback and market needs into a product roadmap and decide what should be built next and why.
  • Coordinate resources across engineering, artificial intelligence, design, and commercial functions; identify constraints and resolve competing demands.
  • Align responsibilities and outcomes so each team member understands their ownership and expected results.
  • Partner with technical leads on design and architecture trade-offs, balancing technical ambition with client needs.
  • Own project plans, milestones, deadlines, scope, risk, and change control to deliver on time and within cost.
  • Identify and pursue account growth opportunities by expanding usage into new teams, workflows, and use cases.
  • Increase product adoption and revenue while tracking metrics that demonstrate product integration into the client’s work.
  • Make independent decisions with incomplete information and escalate issues with proposed options.
  • Build a scalable long-term account by replacing one-off effort with repeatable processes.
  • Run lightweight Agile ceremonies with clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes for each increment.
  • Produce client and leadership reporting and act as the single point of contact for unblocking issues across internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee vendor and subcontractor deliverables to ensure integrations meet contractual, performance, and quality requirements.
  • Uphold data-handling, confidentiality, and quality standards for sensitive commercial and scientific data.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience growing an account through expansion, upselling, or renewal, with measurable adoption and revenue outcomes.
  • A portfolio of shipped artificial intelligence or software products with measurable outcomes and references.
  • Familiarity with scientific or research data or regulated environments.
  • Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and contributing to business development activities and proposals.
