Octopus Energy has exciting opportunities to join our field team as an Energy Helper. We’re changing the landscape of traditional field sales and marketing and re-inventing customer interactions. At Octopus, we’re reinventing face-to-face interactions by using better customer data, our Kraken Technologies platform, and targeted local marketing to create more engaging conversations. As a Venue Sales Ambassador, you’ll directly engage with customers to promote our energy tariffs and low-carbon technologies, like solar panels, heat pumps, and electric vehicles, while showcasing the best of Octopus Energy!
This role is field-based, working at a variety of venues across the South of England. You’ll be at the frontline of our brand and as such, you’re responsible for showing the best of Octopus Energy!
What you’ll do
- As a Venue Sales Ambassador, you will directly engage with customers on a face to face basis, to promote our energy tariffs and low carbon technologies, such as solar panels, heat pumps and electric vehicles.
- This role is field-based, working at a variety of venues across your region. You’ll be at the frontline of our brand and as such, you’re responsible for showing the best of Octopus Energy!
- In your day-to-day, you will ensure every customer we welcome to Octopus Energy is given excellent customer service; we value honesty, transparency and integrity with our field sales teams.
- This is primarily a face-to-face role within venues, however, during certain times of the year, there will be an expectation for door-to-door knocking and other activities to reach more potential customers.
- We operate in busy shopping centres and supermarkets; accordingly, weekends and late shifts would be a regular occurrence in this role.
What you’ll need
- No sales experience is necessary, we will help you with that! But if you love engaging and exciting customers, have plenty of confidence and enjoy delivering excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!
- Experience in a customer centric setting where you have come up with quick and effective customer solutions
- The ability to work collaboratively with your team in order to influence and inspire
- Clear communicator with a focus on listening and attention to detail
- Honest, focused, and committed to delivering the highest levels of customer service
- Experience of working both in a team and on your own.
- A driving license in order to travel to all our different venues situated across the locations
