Requirements
- A high school diploma is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical office patient services or front desk reception is required.
- Hands-on experience with patient scheduling, NP paperwork, and scanning and uploading documentation is required.
- Excellent computer skills, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office, are required.
- Keyboarding speed of 25 words per minute is required.
- The ability to communicate accurately and concisely in written and verbal communication is required.
- The ability to work in a high-standard, stressful environment is required.
- Availability for an 8-hour Monday-to-Friday schedule, with shift times varying between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., is required.
- At least one weekend of availability is required.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication ability is required because many patients are Spanish-speaking.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Responsibilities
- Initiate patients' experience as the first person new patients speak with by phone and meet in the office.
- Greet patients and handle meet-and-greet interactions.
- Perform patient check-in and check-out.
- Schedule appointments and manage daily patient flow through the office.
- Respond to non-clinical questions and requests from patients and staff.
- Support the Apex sister-company team.
- Support marketing and advertising activities.
- Scan and upload patient documentation.
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare experience is highly preferred.
- A technical school diploma is highly preferred.
- The ability to establish credibility, confidence, and trust with patients, particularly over the phone, is desired.
- Computer and technology proficiency, willingness to learn quickly, and willingness to undergo training are desired.
